AAH, we're having a B-A-B-Y!

Our blog is solely devoted to our new little surprise(!), from (a couple months after) conception to birth...and maybe beyond.   A few preliminary comments:

Why I'm Now Blogging:

I hate blogs.  No offense, should you take any.  I hate blogs, I never dreamed I'd start one (just as, circa 2004, I said I'd never join Facebook), and I still don't think that my thoughts or life are important enough to warrant eating internet space, not to mention preemptively stealing a domain name from someone far more interesting who'll inevitably want it in the future...

Bu-ut, it's amazing how much a tiny little tailed blueberry (baby books all seem to compare fetuses at this stage to some sort of berry; the smooth symmetry of a blueberry is far more comforting to me to think of as a baby than a raspberry or blackberry) inside of you makes you want to shout to the world.  !!!  So here I am, world.

Who We're Talking To (and why you should talk to us, too):

For those of you we don't see or speak with nearly as often as we should (and sadly, but probably not unlike you, there are few people in our lives we do chat with as much as we'd like), this world wide web creation is our personal version of enabling you to feign a closer-than-acutal relationship um, utilizing available resources to keep in touch in the fast-paced Internet age.  We'd love love love your comments along the way so the relationship is reciprocal  :)

Whether you're in our close family circle or a long lost friend from elementary school,

and whether you are genuinely interested in our lives or are just extremely bored at work,
