Beach Week at OIB

This was our first week-long trip as a family of four.  I honestly thought it wouldn't feel like a true vacation with two kids waking up at 6 a.m. every morning and three days of rain, but we all had a wonderful time, if I speak for everyone.  We also got to spend some time with Bubba and Grammie, then GiGi and Dziadziu, Aunt Taylor, and Jeff.

We left on Friday to go to the first Panthers preseason game, then to lounge around at home over the weekend before going back to the real world.
We had a lot of inside time the first few days.
A whole lot.
Then, on the third day...more inside time.
But that afternoon...the great outdoors!  And a trip the Museum of Coastal Carolina.

And watermelon.  Watermelon makes everything okay.
An overcast sunset of day 3 on the [wet] beach.

Day 4:  pool time, finally!  Hollerrrr.
Ford pulling his weight on the way to the beach
Having a talk with Margot about taking a little snooze.  She didn't buy it.
Not our best selfie, but a selfie nonetheless

Dada eats MarMar's hands!  What fun!
...AND Miss Lils doesn't run away from MarMars for once!  What a great day!

New favorite activity: climbing stairs.  (Hooray.)

Homemade pops:  mixed berry/chocolate and watermelon
First time at the beach in their 8.5 and 7 years
We go back and forth on what foods we do and don't like, but we ALWAYS love mussels.
All of us minus Gatsby-cat
Back at home to see the Panthers!
Hanging around the neighborhood for the weekend.
Finally seeing what this shew thing is all about.  OH MY GOD, SHEWS.

Happy (belated) ten months, Margot!

Welcome to double digits, Marms!  Yesterday, we went into the doctor with runny eyes and nose and congestion and came out with a double ear infection.  Margot decided that October 1st, her true ten month anny, was not going to be photo day.  So here we are: a day late and at the rainy beach, still a little puffy-eyed but in much better spirits.

Here are Ford's ten-month pictures.
